Quay Infrastructure
Cruise vessels berth at the Monnickendam Quay or Volendam Quay, two quays located in the outer harbour of IJmuiden.
The height of the concrete dockside is approximately 3.63 metres above NAP (Amsterdam Ordnance Datum). The quay infrastructure has been designed to accommodate large vessels while maintaining safe mooring and operational access.
The total length of the Monnickendam Quay is approximately 360 metres, of which the final 40 metres are sloped. The available operational berth length at a depth of NAP –11.00 metres is approximately 320 metres.
Bollards along the quay have a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 60 tonnes, positioned at a centre distance of 14.585 metres.
